Commuter / Student Pass Fare Table
Commuter and student passes are sold by fare brackets and can be purchased for validity periods of 1 month, 3 months or 6 months.

Children pay half the price of an adult fare. However, fractional amounts less than ¥10 will be rounded up to the nearest ¥10.
Infare calculations, fractional distances less than 1 km are rounded up to 1 km.

When to Purchase a Pass
If purchasing a new pass: Passes may only be purchased within 7 days of the start of the validity period.
If renewing an existing pass: Passes may only be purchased within 14 days of the start of the validity period.
How to go to the Pass Window
To ride the monorail to a station that sells passes, purchase a pass ticket to the nearest station where passes can be purchased from the ticketing machine. This pass ticket will get you through the turnstiles on the way into and out of the station. When exiting at your destination, the pass ticket will be ejected from the turnstile, therefore collect it and present it at the pass window. Your fare will be refunded at the pass window.

Documents necessary when purchasing a Commuter Pass |
(Necessary items when purchasing a School Commuter Pass (tsugaku teiki-ken) ) (1) School Identification Card (gakusei-sho) (within its period of validity) (2) Certificate of Commuting (tsugaku shomei-sho) (verifying the nearest station to the person’s residence and the nearest station to the school) Both will be issued by your school. *In some cases, the Certificate Commutation is included as part of the School Identification Card. |
Time period for purchasing a Commuter Pass |
Please purchase the Commuter Pass no earlier than seven days prior to the start of the period of valid use. Example: For a Commuter Pass whose period of valid use starts from September 1, please purchase no earlier than August 25. |

(In the case of approaching a Commuter Pass salespoint in order to purchase a Commuter Pass from the nearest station from the person’s residence or from the school) Please board the train after requesting a Proof of Boarding for Purchasing a Commuter Pass (teiki-ken ko-nyu josha-sho) from the ticket vending machine. After you purchase a Commuter Pass from the Commuter Pass salespoint, we will refund the fare in exchange for the Proof of Boarding for Purchasing a Commuter Pass. |

Refunds
With regard to refunding for travel which is unnecessary after the period of use, we will refund the sum of the fares which you have already paid for after subtracting the number of days/months of use and a handling fee of 210 yen.
Refunds can only be given during the period of validity. Please be aware that a pass whose period of validity has expired becomes invalid and we cannot refund the remaining balance.

* Limited to Commuter Passes for which at least one month of the period of validity remains.
Example • Refunds will not be given for 1-month Commuter Passes where four days or more
have passed since use began.
• Commuter Passes for which 1 months and one day or longer have passed shall be
considered to have been used for 2 months.
• Refunds will not be given for 6-month Commuter Passes for which 5 months and
one day or more have passed.
* Refunds for/reissue of Commuter Passes will not be given in cases of loss (or theft).
* Refunds for Commuter Passes are handled only at Commuter Pass sales counters. To
undertake the procedures, please bring a means of personal identification (such as a driver’s
license) to the counter.

Connections can be made to Hankyu Railway and Keihan Railway using a connection pass.
